About School Crossings Victoria
School Crossings Victoria was formed in 2006 and is a group of Council representatives and other interested parties.
The purpose of this association is to promote safety and seek uniformity of school crossing operation, training and equipment throughout Victoria.
School Crossings History
School Crossings were introduced in Victoria somewhere after World War II. The crossings were placed around schools on roads that pedestrians frequently crossed at school peak times.
Supervisor of The Year Awards
In 2010 School Crossings Victoria established the school crossing supervisor of the year award to acknowledge the contribution and spirit of the work undertaken by school crossing supervisors throughout Victoria.
Help School Crossings Victoria
School Crossings Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation. Any bequests can be used to assist with school crossing projects promoting road safety around schools and ensure the highest quality uniform and equipment is supplied to all staff.
